Bird Roosts
A birdroost box put out in winter will shelter birds from the elements.
Most people know that putting a birdhouse in summer will attract nesting birds.
What they don't know is that know is that because of their different design, birdhouses and decorative birdhouses are not ideal for winter conditions.
Winter roost boxes do not have ventilation holes and have a holes on the bottom to keep the birds warmth that rises from escaping.
Mount bird nesting boxes on a wooden post and attach a metal baffle below to keep predators out.
