The Bufflehead, with its striking white sides and the white patch on its head, is smaller than most cavity-nesting ducks. It is also dependent on nesting boxes due to the scarcity of holes excavated by large woodpeckers and flickers. Placed in swamps, shallow lakes or woods, this house comes with a single side opening and wood chips.
